Shillong, Jun 14: North Liberty Higher Secondary School won both the U-17 girls’ and boys’ titles at the West Jaintia Hills District-Level Inter-School Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2025 in Jowai yesterday at the Kiang Nangbah Stadium.
Government Boys HSS won the U-15 boys’ title match.
The tournament was organised by the WJH District Sports Officer. The winning schools will represent their district at the state-level tournament in Shillong at a later date.
In the U-17 girls’ final, North Liberty defeated Kiang Nangbah HSS 2-0, while the North Liberty U-17 boys beat Marian Hill HSS 1-0.
Govt Boys HSS needed a tiebreaker to get past St Dominic HSS in the U-15 boys’ final, which they did 3-2.
