Shillong, Jun 17: Nongthymmai Nongkynrih left it late but pulled off a 2-1 victory after trailing Summit Football Academy for over 50 minutes in their Group C match of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground here today.

The other two matches today were both draws. It was 1-1 between Pynthorbah and Lummawbah in Group B, while Lapalang came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Dilingiem in Group C.

Stevenson Kharumnuid (21′) gave the lead to Summit FA in the first half of the 80-minute match but Shaim Mujai (72′, 80’+2) then pulled a brace out of his hat in the last 10 minutes of the game to secure victory for Nongthymmai Nongkynrih.

Later, Dilingiem pulled out a two-goal lead in the first half through Thomasjune Syiemiong (8′) and an own goal in the 25th minute when a Lapalang defender Mebankitlang Thabah headed the ball into his own net following a lack of communication with his goalkeeper. However, Freddy Kharkrang (29′) reduced the lead for Lapalang (with a header in the right net this time). Enineki Pohtimi (56′) then provided the equaliser in the second half.

The first match of the day saw Iakibanshai Rani (34′) push Pynthorbah ahead before Tyngshaiñlang Kharmawlong (80’+4) equalised in second half stoppage time for Lummawbah.
