Shillong, Jul 12: Eighteen teams will be competing in the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division 2025, which will begin here on Monday.
Group A – Sanmer, Lawmali Pyllun, Madanrting, Pomlakrai, Nongumlong
Group B – Lumparing, Rynjah, Umlyngka, Imson, Umrynjah
Group C – Kharang, Iaitylli, Gorkha Association, Madan SCC
Group D – Mawkriah West, Laitlyngkot, Lamlynti Madanlyngkhi, Umiew Maw U Sam
The participating sides have been divided up into two groups of five and two groups of four. All the group matches will take place at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo.
The best two teams from each group will progress to the quarterfinals and the two clubs that reach the final will be promoted to next season’s Second Division. The bottom side from each of the four groups will be relegated to the U-20 Fourth Division next year.
Matches in the Third Division are of 90 minutes’ duration.
Madanrting, Umrynjah, Madan SCC and Umiew Maw U Sam were promoted from last year’s Fourth Division, while Imson and Laitlyngkot were relegated from the Second Division.
