Shillong, Jul 26: Meghalaya concluded their campaign in the Junior Boys National Football Championship 2025 (Tier 1) for the Dr BC Roy Trophy on Friday with a 2-1 loss to Tamil Nadu in Amritsar.

A Suresh (34′) produced the first goal of the match for Tamil Nadu and 1-0 is how the scoreline remained for nearly 50 minutes until Medonbanshan Kurkalang (81′) equalised with less than 10 minutes remaining on the clock.

However, Meghalaya could not hold on and conceded again to Iniyan Chandar M (90’+4), who scored in stoppage time a few minutes after coming on as a late substitute.
