Nathaniel Marbaniang (25′) and Macdonald Kurkalang (45’+2) scored twice in the first half of the Group A game to give Pomlakrai their first win.

The result means that Pomlakrai went from bottom of the table to the top, based on the head-to-head advantage that they now have over Lawmali. This group is extraordinarily close, with just 12 goals scored across seven matches and with every team having a goal difference of 0.

However, neither Pomlakrai or Lawmali are guaranteed to finish in the Top 2. This was the final group match of either side, while the other three still have two games each to play.

The other game of the day, in Group B, saw Lumparing and Umlyngka play out the first goalless draw of the group and second of any group this year.

The draw was enough for Umlyngka to take first place from Umrynjah, though the latter have a game in hand.

There will be just one match tomorrow in the Third Division. The U-20 Fourth Division quarterfinals were also meant to start tomorrow but have been pushed back by one day.

Tomorrow’s fixture:
Group A – Nongumlong vs Sanmer, 1PM
