Shillong, Aug 4: Penalty shootouts were necessary in both of the first two quarterfinals of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Second Division 2025 in Khliehriat today.
In the first match, Dienshalalu SC (pictured top) and SWO Moosianglamare Old were locked 0-0, necessitating a tiebreaker, which Dienshalalu won 4-3.
The second match was also 0-0 between Suchen Mulieh YWSC and Lakadong Umlatdoh SSC (pictured below). Here Lakadong Umlatdoh came through 4-2 in the shootout.
Both winners thus progress to the semifinals and will be promoted to next season’s First Division as well.

QF 4 – Khliehriat West FC vs Lumshnong YWSC, 3PM
