Shillong, Aug 19: Mawkriah West came from two goals to one down to beat Iatyllilang FC 4-2 in the fourth quarterfinal of the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Mawkriah West took the lead in the 24th minute through Shailang Nongspung but this was quickly overturned by Iatyllilang’s Donboklang Mawkhiew (25’) and Banskhembok Wanshong (28’).
Calbessius Pathaw (45’) managed to equalise before half time and Mawkriah West then retook the lead via Kerrimore Marbaniang (52’) and extended it through Sevius Kharkrang (71’) to seal victory.
The semifinals are slated for 25th and 26th August.
The other teams that have qualified for the last-four are Madan SCC yesterday and Umlyngka on 12th August. TSR has yet to hear from the SSA about the protest filed by Nongumlong against Umrynjah from the second quarterfinal. In that match, Umrynjah won but Nongumlong protested that one of the players in the opposition squad was ineligible to play.
Umlyngka will play either Umrynjah or Nongumlong in the first semifinal at 2:45PM on 25th August.
Madan SCC will then face Mawkriah West in the second semi the following day at 2:45PM.
The final will be held on 30th August at the same time.
