Shillong, Aug 22: Meghalaya were involved in the Sub-Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025-26 today where they won 1-0 against Gujarat in their second Group A game in Jorhat, Assam.
Dakheinkor Kharkongor scored the only goal of the game in the 30th minute. She was also named Player of the Match.
Meghalaya lost their opening fixture to Mizoram on Wednesday, while Gujarat were defeated by Jharkhand 6-0.
Only the winners from each of the four groups will progress to the semifinals.
Meghalaya’s final group game will be against Jharkhand on Sunday at 3:30PM. Jharkhand will be in action later today versus Mizoram.
