Shillong, Sep 10: The two best teams in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2025 met face to face today and Mylliem Lum came away with a 2-0 victory against Mawpat at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here.
Both teams had won all three of their respective matches and both had also secured qualification to the quarterfinal round. Today was just a matter of seeing who made it out of the group as top dog.
Eliastar Nongsiej (29′) and Shaiborlang Kharkrang (90’+2) scored a goal each on the day.
The top two teams from each group plus the best two third-placed sides will make it to the quarterfinals.
