Shillong, Sep 30: Mukhla Raij and Lumphyrnai Sohphoh will meet in the final of the Thadlaskein Sports Association’s Super Division 2025 after they both got through their respective semifinals.
The TSA’s Super Division follows the Indian Premier League-style format of knockouts. Mukhla Raij and Lumphyrnai Sohphoh, as the two top teams, went up against each other in the First Qualifier and Mukhla Raij won 4-2 on 24th September. This sent Makhla Raij straight to the final but Lumphyrnai Sohphoh would have a another chance in the Second Qualifier.
In the Eliminator, Nongkhroh Rim defeated Wahiajer SC 3-1 on 26th September.
Lumphyrnai Sohphoh and Nongkhroh Rim then met in the Second Qualifier yesterday. The scores were locked at 1-1 at the end of normal time, so a tiebreaker was used and Lumphyrnai Sohphoh emerged as 3-1 victors.
The final will take place on 7th October at 1:30PM at the Wahiajer Multi Sport Complex.
