MWSL 2025: Iaraplang scores another hat-trick for Laitkor; Jakrem beat Mawten

Shillong, Oct 7: There were two huge wins for Laitkor SC and Jakrem SC in the Meghalaya Women’s State League 2025 yesterday.

Laitkor defeated Attacker’s Youth Club 6-0 in Group A, while Jakrem beat local rivals Mawten SC 5-0 in Group B. The other match of the day was a 0-0 draw between Young SSCC and Bright Future SSCC, also in Group B.

At the SSA Stadium in Shillong, Iaraplang Nongrum (67′, 75′, 86′) produced another hat-trick for Laitkor (of the Shillong Sports Association), with her team mates Inrila-i-dor Khongthaw (12’) and Sukrilin L Marshillong (22’, 25’) also scoring. This was Laitkor’s second straight win, after the season opener against Na Rympei FA, while it was the debut match of Attacker’s YC, which is from the Ri-Bhoi District Sports Association.

In Mawlum Tyrsad there were two derby games, with the first between Young SSCC and Bright Future, both of the Pyndengumiong DSA, ending in deadlock. Later, Jakrem scored through Savinity Jyndiang (25′), Catherine Kharkongor (27′, 73′), Lavinia Lyngkhor (51′) and Rosemary Wahlang (83′) over Mawten, with both teams from the Mawkyrwat DSA.

The next matches will take place on 10th October in Group B alone. In the first fixture Mawlum Tyrsad SC will face Mawten at 12PM before Mawsawrit SC take on Bright Future at 2:30PM.
