Shillong, Oct 15: Maia Club Umjalasiaw beat Bamkamar SC 3-1 in the final of the Thadlaskein Sports Association’s Second Division 2025 for the Joybell Suiam Memorial Trophy in Wahiajer today.
Gabriel Siangshai (10′) and Leimiki Dkhar (61′, 70′) scored for the champions and Dlansing Mylliem (36′) for Bamkamar.
The winners received a cheque of Rs 40,000, while the runners-up got Rs 20,000.
Dignitaries present on the day included Jesse Suiam MDC, TSA office bearers and Wahiajer chnong Secretary.
Individual awards were also presented – Leimiki claimed both the Best Player and Top Scorer gongs. His team mate Dame Dkhar was named Best Goalkeeper.
The champions and the runners-up will both be promoted to the First Division next season.
