Shillong, Oct 31: Lawsohtun and Nongrah played out a goalless but not inconsequential draw in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.
This was the first match without a goal of the First Division season.
The result was still important in terms of its effect on the points table. With only their second point from six games, Lawsohtun climbed off the bottom rung of the First Division and dropped Ryntih to 10th. However, both sides still remain in the relegation zone with time slipping away for them to make their escape.
Nongrah moved to 4 points with this draw but are still only in eighth. They are tied with Pohkseh on points but have played two more games. Pohkseh have the better goal difference (-8 to -15) and they have yet to meet, so head-to-head doesn’t yet come into play.
