Shillong, Nov 8: Shilliang Umshong SC came from a goal down to beat Diengshynrum SC 2-1 in the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Super Division 2025 in Khliehriat yesterday.
The other match of the day, between defending champions Thangskai Tiger SC and Ladrymbai B SC ended 2-2.
Solomon Sympli (66′, 85′) scored a brace for Thangskai but they were always chasing Ladrymbai B, who twice seized the lead through Kyrshanlang Pasi (45’+1) and Dasukwame Dkhar (77′).
Later, Riki Sympli (3′) struck first for Diengshynrum only for Shilliang Umshong to strike back via Henjoymang Khongsai (28’P, 73′). This was Shilliang Umshong’s first win of the season. They had drawn once and lost twice before.
The Tigers have now won twice, drawn once and lost once, while Diengshynrum have won three matches and lost one.
Yesterday’s result gave Ladrymbai B their first point after three successive defeats.
