Shillong, Nov 10: A hat-trick from Sauni Phawa contributed to Sutnga SSCC’s 5-1 victory against defending champions Thangskai Tiger SC in the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Super Division 2025 in Khliehriat today.
The other match of the day saw Chiehruphi SYWSC come from a goal behind to beat Ladrymbai B SC 2-1.
Sauni scored in the 36th, 51st and 84th minutes for his hat-trick, while team mates Niponghi Sumer (76′) and Jeffrey Surong (90’+4) also contributed one goal each to Sutnga’s cause. Rukipaia Syrti (82′) was the Tigers’ only scorer today.
Earlier, Kyrshanlang Pasi (62′) gave Ladrymbai B the lead for a couple of minutes before Rigency Lapasam (64′) equalised. Shanmi Bareh (79′) then scored the winner for Chiehruphi.
