Shillong, Nov 16: Shilliang Umshong SC snatched a 2-1 win against defending champions Thangskai Tiger SC in the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Super Division 2025 yesterday.
The other match of the day, between Diengshynrum SC and Chiehruphi SYWSC, ended in a 0-0 draw.
Besterly Ksih (6′, 58′) gave Shilliang Umshong a two-goal cushion that they held almost to the end of the match but for a penalty conceded to the Tigers in second half stoppage time. This was converted by Phermedaki Syrti (90’+4).
The seventh and final round will begin on Tuesday. At 11:45AM Dhana CSC will face Chiehruphi, followed by Shilliang Umshong versus Ladrymbai B SC at 2:15PM.
