Shillong, Dec 15: Byndihati SC and Shilliang Umshong SC finished on top of their respective groups in the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Women’s League 2025 in Khliehriat.
With six teams divided into two groups, each team played two games.
The first day’s matches last Tuesday saw Byndihati win by a huge margin and they were at it again on Saturday when they defeated Dkhiah West SC 15-0. Makrisha Songthiang (7′, 9′, 10′, 32′, 35′, 63′, 66′, 70′) scored eight goals and was joined on the scoresheet by her team mates Deimomi Lyngdoh (35′), Hapily Lyngdoh (15′), Diwakapaia Dkhar (42′, 78′), Charlinda Nongtdu (65′), Angelina Phawa (75′) and Odakani Nongtdu (62′).
That same day, Shilliang Umshong pipped Sutnga XI SC 1-0 with a 65th minute goal by Nidaroi-ki Biam.
Before that, on Thursday, Sutnga XI and Jalyiah United SC were involved in a 0-0 draw. Later that same day Dkhiah West defeated Narpuh WWSC 19-0.
Bahunlang Synrem (9′, 33′, 57′, 70′), Rushia Dkhar (13′, 51′, 55′), Nisilia Majaw (17′, 49′, 60′, 69′, 71′, 76′) and Bada Aisha Kharumnuid (62′, 68′, 78′) all scored hat-tricks. Bakordor Lamurong (19′), Marbarin Nongrum (20′) and Thehlut Sana (64′) bagged a goal each.
The semifinals will both take place on Wednesday.
Joining Byndihati and Shilliang Umshong in the last-four are Dkhiah West and Jalyiah United.
The first match of the day will be between Shilliang Umshong and Dkhiah West at 11:30AM. After that Byndihati will take on Jalyiah United at 1:30PM. Entry to both matches will be free.
