Shillong, Dec 28: Massar 8 Bros secured the last available spot in the semifinals of the 4th Shortimai Knockout Football Tournament yesterday by beating Mylliem Lum 4-1 in the fourth quarterfinal.
Apborlang Kurbah (12′), Lambhaiaki Nartiang (18′), Mebanshngain Kurkalang (24′) and Babysunday Marngar (47′) were the scorers for Massar 8 Bros, while Mylliem Lum scored once through Eliastar Nongsiej (55′).
Mebanshngain (pictured left) was named Player of the Match and received his memento from Syntem Kamwamut Nengnong, the General Secretary of Smit SC.
The first semifinal will take place on 8th January between Nangkiew Irat and Massar 8 Bros at 1PM. The second semi, between Laitkor SC and Mawlai Impact, will take place two days later.
