Shillong, Jan 9: Lumparing registered the biggest victory of the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League 2025 so far – 16-0 – against Lawsohtun in Group B at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.

The points tables as they stand on 9th January

Juviality Lyngdoh (9′, 26′, 29′, 54′) and Catherine Kharkongor (40′, 52′, 64′, 68′) scored four goals each, thus becoming the fourth and fifth players to score hat-tricks this year.

The other scorers were Bahunlang Synrem (20′), Savinity Jyndiang (35′), Iaphisha Marbaniang (37′, 57′), Lakyntiew Dohling (60′, 62′) and Banyllashisha Nongkhlaw (66′). There was also a 33rd minute own goal.

In the first match of the day, Rangdajied United defeated Kharang 2-0 in Group C thanks to goals from Larihun Songthiang (23′) and Judith Kharmuti (62′).

Later, in Group A, Nongthymmai became the first team to win from behind, coming back against Umrynjah 2-1.

Umrynjah scored first via Esha Nongrum (25′) before Ribanhun Syiemlieh (29′) cancelled this out four minutes later, followed by a 52nd minute winner from Lamlynti L Poilang.

The top two teams from each group plus the two best third-placed teams will qualify for the quarterfinals.
