Shillong, Jan 10: Pay For Right Football Academy secured a berth in the quarterfinals after today’s results in the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.
PFR defeated Lawei 1-0 with the lone goal provided by Aitihun Majaw (56′).
Later, Mawkasiang and Lawsohtun played out a goalless draw. This was the first draw this season.
Both matches today were in Group B. PFR haven’t confirmed top spot in the standings but are sure to finish in the Top 2. The top two teams from each group plus the two best third-placed teams will qualify for the quarterfinals.
Today was also unusual for the very small number of goals scored. In the 13 matches prior the average goals per match this season was over 5 but today there was just 1 goal scored across two games.
