Sepak takraw, a South East Asian team sport, is also known as kick volleyball in English.
The induction will be under SAI’s residential scheme and is for boys only between 12 and 18 years. Reporting time for the trials is 8AM on 19th February.
Selection of athletes will be done on the basis of sports performance and potential based on merit and performance based on achievements in recognised competitions – district, state, national and international – and through a battery of tests as per their age and skill tests, including aptitude and attitude, a SAI press release said.
