Shillong, Mar 10: Pyndaplang Khasain took 5/11 as Rangshken Area CC defeated Hurdles CC by six wickets in Group B of the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association’s 5th District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 at Saitsohpen, Sohra, today.
The other match, in Group D, saw Mawmluh CC defeat Lumpaia Avengers CC by 13 runs.
Hurdles of Mawsynram won the toss and chose to bat first but were bundled out for a mere 58 in 11.5 overs, with Pyndaplang doing the damage in just 3 overs. No batter even got into double figures.
Rangshken Area then lost four wickets in the chase but reached the target in 13.4 overs. Hamostar Sun’s 13 from 20 was the top score, while Da-u-labiang Shangpliang took 2/10 in 3 overs. Pyndaplang was named Player of the Match.
Earlier, Lumpaia Avengers chose to field first after winning the toss and restricted Mawmluh to 113/8 in 20 overs. Dakerlang Sohkhlet top-scored with 31 from 36 deliveries while Ralphy H Diengdoh took 3/15 in 4 overs.
Lumpaia Avengers lost too many wickets in the chase and were all out for exactly 100 in 19.4 overs. Aldy Mebandondor Nongbri’s 21 from 30 was the high score, while Vijay Pathaw bagged 3/16 in 4 overs and he was named Player of the Match.
