Shillong, Mar 12: Nayabasti Youth Club defeated Rangshken Area CC by 81 runs in Group B of the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association’s 5th District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 at Saitsohpen, Sohra, today.
Rangshken chose to field first after winning the toss and Nayabasti compiled 160/7 in the allotted 20 overs, with Rakesh Boro top-scoring with 48 from 43 balls. Banshailang (no surname provided) took 3/25 in 4 overs.
The chase faltered from the start and Rangshken crashed to 79 all out in 12.1 overs. Sajib Debnath bagged 3/22 in 4 overs and Rakesh 2/8 in 2. For his all-round performance Rakesh was declared Player of the Match.
