Shillong, Mar 29: Rangkynsai SC destroyed Cluster CC by 122 runs in Group C of the 1st Late PA Sangma Memorial T20 Tournament, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, here today.
The other scheduled match, between Lok Bhavan and Rhinoland Cricket Academy in Group B, was abandoned with both teams sharing points.
Cluster won the toss and fielded first but conceded 193/6 in 20 overs, with Rangkynsai’s Kishan Lyngdoh (56 from 24 balls) and Ajay Duhan (51 from 34) both hitting half-centuries. Vishal Paul was the most successful bowler with figures of 2/32 in 4 overs.
Cluster didn’t get anywhere near the target as they were all out for 71 in 12.1 overs. Rahul Paul top-scored with 24 from 25 balls, while Aryan Borah (2/10 in 2 overs) and Sanvert Kurkalang (2/21 in 4) returned the best figures with the ball. Sanvert also scored 25 runs in the first innings and was named Player of the Match.
