Shillong, May 29: Mawphlang and New Challenger won their Group D matches in the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2026 here today by soaring margins.
Mawphlang demolished Mawshbuit 7-0 at the SSA Stadium, while New Challenger won by the smaller, but no less convincing, scoreline of 4-0 against Pynthorbah at the MFA Ground.
Arkidonlang Hujon (30′, 47′, 62′) produced a hat-trick, while his Mawphlang team mates Kerius Rymbai (51′), Albertstar Mawlong (68′) Kestar Kharshiing (73′) and Lestarroy Mawlong (80’+1) grabbed a goal each. Matches in the Fourth Division are of 80 minutes’ duration.
For New Challenger, Khrawpyrkhat Lyngkhoi (13′), Bobinchal Wanniang (50′) and Damelashaing Mawlieh (69′) scored a goal each. There was also a 55th minute own goal.
