Shillong, Jul 2: Nelson Rymbai has moved from Langsning FC to Shillong Lajong FC, the latter announced today on social media.
This will make the prolific striker available to SLFC for the upcoming Durand Cup, where Lajong and Langsning have both been clubbed in Group E.
Nelson was the Top Scorer of the 5th Meghalaya State League, which concluded last month, having racked up a tournament record 23 goals. He even provided the late equaliser against Lajong that led to Langsning winning their MSL 5 semifinal on penalties.
“We’re proud to welcome one of Meghalaya’s brightest talents to the Lajong family,” his new team said on social media this evening.
Before joining Langsning, with whom he won the Shillong Premier League 2025 crown and runners-up title in MSL 5, he was with Mawlai SC.
