Shillong, Jul 4: Laitlyngkot and Nongkseh United won the last pre-quarterfinals of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2026 here today.
While Laitlyngkot pipped Weilyngkut Area FCC 1-0 in Pool 3, Nongkseh United won by the same margin against Sei La Sap FCC in Pool 4.
Nangtei Rynjah scored the only goal for Laitlyngkot in the 43rd minute of the 80-minute match. With an earlier draw against Thynroit, Laitlyngkot went to the top of the pool and qualified for the quarterfinals along with second-placed Weilyngkut.
Later, Nongkseh scored in the 68th minute via Gerrard Sun. Both teams had already qualified for the quarters, with this match only to decide which was first and which second in the pool.
