Shillong, Jul 7: Sanmer and Rynjah both won their respective Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division 2026 matches by 2-1 margins here on Tuesday.
In the Super 8 stage, Sanmer took down Mawkasiang in Group A, while in the Relegation Zone’s Group A Rynjah came from a goal down to beat Umpling.
After a deadlocked first half, Bryan Kharbudnah (53′) and Khrawkupar Nongbri (56′) scored in quick succession for Sanmer. A 78th minute own goal reduced their lead but Mawkasiang were unable to find an equaliser in the time remaining. Matches in the Third Division are of 80 minutes’ duration.
Umpling, meanwhile, got a perfect start after Lamjingshai Marbaniang (6′) put them in front early on in the contest. However, Henry (one name only provided) scored in the 40th minute for Rynjah before Stephan (one name only again) snatched the lead in the 78th.
