Shillong, Jul 7: Mawpdang reached the semifinals of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2026 by defeating Them Rangshken 4-1 here today.
By reaching the semifinals Mawpdang have also secured promotion to next year’s Third Division.
Jonathan Kharbani (6′) put Mawpdang in front early but Prestar Kharphuli (40’+2) levelled before half time in the 80-minute match.
The tide moved decisively towards Mawpdang after the break, however, with Marbiang Kharbhih (44′), Name Pdahkasiej (48′) and Eamonlang Rymbai (78′) getting on the scoresheet.
