Samuel L Kynshi leads list of 10 new Langsning signings

Shillong, Jul 13: Langsning FC announced a slate of new signings for the upcoming football season, with 10 names officially added to their roster.

Samuel L Kynshi (pictured), who has played for India at the Asian Games, leads the pack with the ex-Shillong Lajong FC, Mawlai SC, Punjab FC and Real Kashmir FC midfielder joining the Shillong Premier League champions and Meghalaya State League runners-up ahead of the Durand Cup 2026, which will begin this month.

Samuel was most recently with Gokulam Kerala in the Indian Football League, though he didn’t make too many appearances this past season, clocking under 100 minutes in five games played.

Coming in from FC Bengaluru United are two players – left-back Allen Lyngdoh Nongbri and forward Syed Ahmed. They were with the club as they finished runners-up in I-League 2, which earned FCBU promotion to the 2026-27 IFL.

Both Allen and Samuel are former Lajong boys and joining them is a third – midfielder Wadajied Kynsai Ryngkhlem. Lajong had announced Wadajied’s departure earlier this month.

A couple of players have joined from Garhwal FC – midfielder Richie Kharbani (who’s been with Langsning before) and forward Rohan Manar. Midfielder Alex Manar, who this year featured for Meghalaya in the U-20 Men’s National Football Championship, has also joined the club.

The other three signings are forward Monush Lapang (joining from Rymbai Shkenshynriah SC), midfielder Mebanshngain Kurkalang (most recently at Rangdajied United FC) and defender Rituraj Boruah (Chhaygaon FC).

Langsning will play their maiden Durand Cup match on 3rd August against Mumbay FC. Find the fixtures here.
