Shillong, Jul 22: Pomlakrai beat Lummawbah 3-1 to qualify for the semifinals of the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division 2026 here today.
The Group B game of the Super 8 stage saw all four goals come in the second half of the 80-minute match.
Pomlakrai scored through Peacemaker Lyngdoh (53′) and Vicky Kurkalang (55′, 72′) and Lummawbah via Adelbert K Shun (77′).
The top two from each group will progress to the semifinals. All four semifinalists will be promoted to next year’s Second Division. The bottom team from each of the two groups in the Relegation Zone will drop down to the Fourth Division in 2027.
The two semis will be held on 27th and 28th July. In the first, Sanmer will face Pomlakrai and Umiew Maw U Sam will then take on Lamlynti the next day. Both matches will be held at the SSA Stadium with kick-off at 3:30PM on the two days. The final will take place on 1st August.
Meanwhile, the Second Division will start tomorrow with Nongrah facing Madan SCC at 4PM at the SSA Stadium.
