Shillong, Jul 23: Dr Surojit Biswa and Meinam Amit Singh (pictured left and right), two members of the Meghalaya Cricket Association’s support team, have been hired by Barak Legends for the inaugural edition of the Assam Premier League.
Dr Biswa will be the franchise’s physiotherapist. He has 9 years of experience in sports and orthopaedic rehabilitation and has been the physio of the Meghalaya senior men’s cricket team since 2020.
Amit is the Barak Legends video analyst and was present to use his expertise at the APL auction held a few days ago. He has been a BCCI video analysts panel member since 2019 and has worked for matches of the Meghalaya senior men’s team as well as age category teams. He is also a certified BCCI performance analyst and specialises in match analysis, opposition scouting and performance evaluation.
Two other Meghalaya support staff were earlier this month signed up by Nagaon Rangers – bowling coach Neetesh Sharma and physio Emidao Dhar.
“It’s a great achievement for the MCA support staff and we expect more in the next Assam Premier League,” MCA Honorary Secretary Rayonald Kharkamni said while sharing the news with the media.
