Shillong, Jul 24: Mawpat were a goal down but fought back for a 4-2 victory against Pay For Right Academy in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
Banjiedlang Khongsit (4′) put PFR ahead early in the game but Mawpat equalised and sped off into the lead through Oliver Pale (16′, 54′) and Donboklang Lyngdoh (38′, 60′).
Banjiedlang (70′) then returned to produce another goal for PFR but they couldn’t avoid a defeat in their first-ever Second Division match.
