Shillong, Aug 4: Umrynjah defeated Jongksha 3-1 in Group C of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
Mihsalam Kharjana (25′) and Banshemphang Nongkhlaw (35′, 54′) scored for Umrynjah and Babiangboklang Umsong (32′) for Jongksha. This was the opening match of the season for both teams.
Later, in Group A, Pay For Right Football Academy and Nongrah drew 1-1 at the MFA Ground.
Nathaniel Syiemiong (37′) struck first for Nongrah before Peter Lamare (73′) equalised for PFR. Both teams had lost their opening fixtures, so this draw gave them their first point of the season.
