Shillong, Aug 22: Marbisu snatched a stoppage time winner against Pay For Right Academy for a 3-2 result in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
The later game saw Madan SCC edge Lumshyiap 1-0, also in Group A.
Marbisu twice had the lead in the first half but on both occasions PFR found a way to level. Banshailang Kurbah (19′) and Parianhlang Kharshiing (33′) scored for Marbisu and Frankystar Shabong (28′) and Banjiedlang Khongsit (45′) for PFR.
Then, the entire second half was almost over when Redeem Sawkmie (90’+2) found the back of the net in the second minute of stoppage time.
Later, at the same venue, Mebankhraw Mawlieh (46′) scored early in the second half to give Madan victory.
Madan stay in second place in the standings but Marbisu have leapfrogged PFR into third place. Mawpat lead with 9 points and have a game in hand over Madan (9). Mawpat also have head-to-head advantage over the second-placed team. Marbisu now have 7 points and PFR 4. Lumshyiap are at the bottom of the group.
