Shillong, Aug 24: Devraj Mohapatra won a gold medal for Meghalaya at the 2nd NTPC National Ranking Archery Tournament 2026 in Bokara, Jharkhand.
The event began on 18th August and will conclude on 27th August.
Devraj secured the gold medal in the Junior Men’s Individual Recurve event.
The Archery Association of Meghalaya (AAM) congratulated Devraj for his hard work and achievement and expressed gratitude to the state government for its continuous support in nurturing archery talents in Meghalaya, which has now produced champions like Devraj.
AAM also acknowledged the dedication and efforts of High Performance Director and Head Coach Mim Bahadur Gurung, along with other coaches under him, whose guidance and training played a crucial role in this success.
Devraj won a gold medal at this month’s Meghalaya State Archery Championship 2026, a gold at the NTPC Khelo India North East Zone Open Archery Tournament here in February, a bronze at the 7th Khelo India Youth Games 2025 and two bronze medals for Meghalaya in 2023.
