Shillong, Aug 25: Group B in the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2026 today saw Mawryngkneng defeat Smit 1-0 while Umlyngka beat Nongmensong 2-0 in results that have made an already very hotly contested group even more interesting.
Before today Nongmensong were leading the group, with Umlyngka second, Smit third and Mawryngkneng fourth.
Donkupar Mynsong (75′) scored for Mawryngkneng against Smit at the SSA Stadium and with victory the two teams have swapped positions in the standings.
Similarly, Umlyngka’s win thanks to late goals by Nichelson Lyngkhoi (85′) and Hamlet Thabah (90’+3) ensured that they grabbed first place with one round of action remaining.
