Shillong, Sep 3: The first quarterfinals of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Second and Third Division 2026 were held today, with victories for Dkhiah West SCSO and Borghat SCSC respectively in Khliehriat today.
The first match was in the Third Division where Borghat pipped Tongseng Youth SYSC 1-0 with a goal by Laxmon Kympad in the 65th minute.
Then, in the Second Division, Dkhiah West and Lama Youth SC were locked 0-0 through regulation time, which meant that the match was settled through penalties. Here Dkhiah West held out 7-6.
Reaching the semifinals means that both winners from today will be promoted next season – Dkhiah West to the First Division and Borghat to the Second Division.
