Shillong, Sep 17: Lumshnong YWSC and Diengchynrum SC celebrated big wins in the First Division and Super Division respectively of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association in Khliehriat today.
Lumshnong walloped Dhana CSC 6-0 in the First Division, while Diengchynrum defeated Thangskai Tiger SC 5-1 in the Super Division.
Robert Khongjoh (69′, 72′, 83′) scored a second half hat-trick for Lumshnong to go along with goals by his teammates Damehun Syih (32′), Niponghi Sumer (45′) and Ridao Rupai (87′).
Later, Shaining Marbaniang (17′, 46′, 51′) also recorded a treble for Diengchynrum, while Th Aktar Hussain (1′, 90’+5) had the distinction of scoring at the very start and end of the match. The Tigers’ lone goal was scored by Lekiru Dkhar.
Tomorrow will witness the final of the EJHDFA’s Third Division, between Rymbai Pohskur SC and Cham Cham SCSC at 3PM.
