Shillong, Sep 18: Cham Cham SCSC won the final of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Third Division in Khliehriat today.
With the match against Rymbai Pohskur SC locked on 0-0 throughout, even into extra time, a tiebreaker was called for, which Cham Cham won 2-0.
Individual prizes were awarded at the closing ceremony to Jomi Phawa of Cham Cham (Best Player), Dashrain Dkhar of Cham Cham (Best Goalkeeper) and Eveninglang Pohshna of Umstain (Top Scorer with five goals).
Cham Cham received Rs 30,000 as prize money, with Rymbai Pohskur taking home Rs 15,000.
Dignitaries present for the final were Blassuse Rymbai of the Dorbar Shnong of Rymbai, former Rangbah Shnong of Cham Cham, Karlud Dkhar, and various members of the EJHDFA.
