Shillong, Sep 18: Ryntih were up three goals to nil against Nongrim Hills but were made to work hard at the end before holding on for a 3-2 victory in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
Dawandap Pura Biam Pathaw (14′, 25′) scored a brace and Torilang Wanniang (40′) made it 3-0 for Ryntih by the 40th minute of the Group B fixture.
However, Arkiwao Kharmalki (44′) pulled one back before half time and Nongrim Hills pushed for more in the second half.
Their persistence was rewarded with an 81st minute Bapynkmen Kharsati goal but Nongrim Hills couldn’t avoid defeat in their first match of the season as Ryntih secured a narrow 3-2 win.
