Shillong, Sep 25: Khliehriat West YWSC defeated Rymbai Wahshnong in a closely contested 3-2 match in the First Division of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association in Khliehriat today.
The later Super Division match ended 1-1 between Diengchynrum SC and Wahiajer Narpuh SSC. Sanjib Chetri (1′) scored straight after kick-off for Wahiajer Narpuh and Th Aktar Hussain (88′) equalised at the very end of the game for Diengchynrum.
Earlier, Khliehriat West had the lead on two occasions but R Wahshnong came back each time in the Pool D fixture. Seram Sekho Singh (10′) score the first goal of the day but Verdict Swer (48′) cancelled this out early in the second half.
Seven minutes later Bijoy Suting (55′) restored Khliehriat West’s lead but again R Wahshnong levelled, this time through Deiwompoipyrkhat Swer (71′). Seram then bagged the winning goal in the 80th minute for Khliehriat West.
