Shillong, Sep 26: The BCCI has appointed Lairenjam Geetranjan Singh (pictured left), Secretary of the Manipur Cricket Association, as Match Observer for the first T20I between India and the West Indies, scheduled to be played in Lucknow on 6th October.
The match will mark the opening fixture of the five-match T20I series between India and the West Indies.
The appointment represents an important national-level assignment for a cricket administrator from Manipur.
Match Observers prepare official reports regarding the venues, umpires, players, etc.
