Shillong, Sep 28: The East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s tournament committee has awarded Diengchynrum SC a 3-0 win by default against Wahiajer Narpuh SSC after a protest was lodged against the latter.
The two Super Division teams had met on 25th September and the match ended in a draw on the pitch.
However, after the final whistle a protest was made “concerning player transfer criteria”. Upon consideration, the protest was upheld as valid and Diengchynrum were awarded a 3-0 win by default.
Which player/s was/were at the centre of the protest was not informed in the EJHDFA official statement.
The next matches are scheduled to take place tomorrow.
