Shillong, Oct 26: 2025 champions Rymbai Shkenshynriah SC will be relegated to the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s First Division 2027 after finishing at the bottom of the Super Division 2026.
Playing their last match, Shkenshynriah lost to Chiehruphi SYWSC 5-0, sealing their rapid fall from the heights they previously occupied. Wanrilangki Lamare (26′), Regency Lapasam (54′), Meshwa Lapasam (69′, 81′) and Wanshanme Bareh (71′) were the scorers for Chiehruphi.
Shkenshynriah lost all seven matches this season, with only three goals scored and 29 conceded.
Later, Wahiajer Narpuh SSC pipped Shilliang Umshong SC 1-0 thanks to an early goal by Francis Sumer (5′).
It was this result that sealed the fate of former champions Thangskai Tiger, who have still to play their last fixture tomorrow. With 5 points, the Tigers cannot claw their way out of the relegation zone as Wahiajer Narpuh now have 9 points.
