Shillong, Feb 25: Donkin SCC defeated Sporting CC by three wickets in Group A of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2024-25 here today.
After winning the toss, Donkin fielded first and were able to bowl Sporting out for 166 in 39.1 overs. Sachin Kumar hit 40 from 58 deliveries, while Indrajit made 36 from 67. Moksodul bagged 3/22 in 5.1 overs and Terry Dkhar 3/32 in 6.
In reply, Donkin won with an over to spare and three wickets in hand, finishing on 169/7 in 44 overs. Rohit Rai hit a patient 39 from 78 deliveries, while Pynkop Bonney made 29 from 34. Sachin claimed 2/23 in 9 overs and Suraj Chettri 2/24 in 9.
Moksodul (pictured left), who also contributed 18 with the bat, was the Player of the Match.
The next match will be on 2nd March between Rangkynsai CC and Sputnik CC in Group B.
