Shillong, Sep 9: An active second half saw Sohryngkham come from a goal behind to beat PFR Academy 2-1 in Group C of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.
After nearly 70 minutes wihtout a goal, Edelbert Khongshun (68′) gave PFR the lead only for Sohryngkham’s Daiomiki Kharpran (74’P) and Pynshongdor Pyngrope (86′) to strike twice in the space of minutes for Sohryngkham.
This was the last group match of both sides and it took Sohryngkham to provisional first place in the standings with 8 points, though they are by no means guaranteed of finishing there.
PFR are currently fourth after two wins and three defeats.
