Shillong, Sep 17: Meghalaya lost their second match of the U-17 boys’ category of the Subroto Cup 2025 in New Delhi this morning against Kerala 2-1.
Meghalaya are being represented at the tournament by North Liberty Higher Secondary School of West Jaintia Hills, who won the state title in July. They had beaten Chhattisgarh yesterday in their first game in Delhi.
The Kerala school scored in the 26th minute of the 70-minute game. Meghalaya then equalised in the 58th through Iaisanlang Dohling but Kerala were awarded a penalty and converted it in the 69th minute.
Kerala had beaten Delhi 2-1 yesterday and are therefore at the top of Pool H.
Meghalaya will take on Delhi tomorrow in their last match.
