Shillong, Oct 28: Nongthymmai move to 10 points in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2025 after defeating Nongrah 2-0 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.

Note on the points table: Mawtawar’s complaint regarding the eligibility of a Nongrah player was upheld by the SSA and Mawtawar was awarded a 3-0 win by default

Later, Meghalaya Police moved back into the lead of the points table with a 2-1 win against Nongkrem.

Nongthymmai scored one goal in each half through Nathan B Majaw (16′) and Donboklang Majaw (66′).

In the other match, all three goals came within the first quarter of the game. Rapborlang Marwein (10′) and Everestarly Rynjah (12′) put the cops into the lead in double-quick time but Nongkrem were able to pull one back minutes later via Vincent Kharsyntiew (16′). Despite plenty more time remaining, there were no further goals.

This was MLP’s sixth win in a row and they marched back to the top of the standings, though second-placed Nongkseh have a game in hand in which to catch the police up.
