Shillong, Nov 19: Ryntih’s resurrection was completed today with a 2-0 win in their last match of the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2025 season against Mawkhar at First Ground, Polo, here.
Banlam Nashwa Kharbhih (10′) and Russel CL Nongkynrih (73′) scored a goal in each half for Ryntih’s second win in a row.
This was enough for them to escape relegation after occupying the bottom spot for almost the entire length of the season. It also means that Nongrah and Lawsohtun will finish in the bottom two and be relegated to next season’s First Division.
Mawkhar would have climbed to fifth had they won today but they blew their chance.
